    Street Car # 23
    Visitors to Nelson can take a ride on this historic street car for only $2. #23 is the only car remaining from the original tram system, which was destroyed in 1949. The car was rescued by The Nelson Tramway Society from a farm, where it had been dutifully serving as a chicken coup. Located in Lakeside Park.

    North Woven Broom Co.
    Visitors to North Woven Broom Co. can watch while broom makers weave corn brooms using antique broom making equipment. Guests will learn alot about this craft, and are encouraged to ask questions.

    The Glass House
    This unusual house was built in 1952 from more than 500,000 discarded embalming fluid bottles. The beautiful grounds feature flower-lined pathways and a bridge also built with glass bottles. Daily tours of The Glass House are available from May to October. A gift shop is also located on the property, which is 25 miles north of Creston, on the shore of Kootenay Lake.

    Rossland Historical Museum & LeRoi Mine
    A 45 minute underground walking tour of the mine is offered at Rossland Historical Museum & LeRoi Mine. This museum showcases the Gold Rush past of the BC Rockies, and visitors can try their hands at gold panning, and look through the extensive collection of artifacts.

    Hugh Keenleyside Dam
    Eight kilometers upstream from Castlegar, the Hugh Keenleyside Dam holds back the Columbia River. The Dam is approximately 52 meters high, and has a crest length of over 853 meters. Free tours of the dam are available.
