Thompson Lookout
Thompson Lookout is an easily accessed observation area that provides an excellent view of the Creston Valley. There are picnic tables and firepits, and the lookout is the start of the Rim Trail.

There are two separate hiking trails leading visitors to Idaho Peak Lookout. A picnic table is available, and the summit offers visitors a view of the many diverse wildflowers.

Mt. Buchanan Lookout
Mt. Buchanan Lookout stands at an elevation of 1912m. A 2 km loop trail provides access to lookouts on the rock bluffs below. There is a fire pit, picnic table, and outhouse located here.
