    Teck Cominco Interpretive Centre
    Videos and interactive displays highlight the Teck Cominco Interpretive Centre, a mini science centre. Displays showing the history and operations of smelting, the production of lead and zinc, as well as the environmental commitment Teck Cominco shows, are all located here.

    S. S. Moyie
    The S. S. Moyie is now the oldest surviving sternwheeler boat in the world, and it has been authentically restored inside and out. The boat was in service on the Kootenay Lake for almost 60 years. Guided and self-guided tours are available, and visitors have access to audio and visual displays.

    The Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre
    The Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre is located in the Slocan Valley at the site of a WWII Japanese internment camp. It contains the memories of Japanese Canadian Internees, and a commemorative garden and hand carved Buddhist shrine are located on the grounds. This is the only interpretive site of it's kind in Canada.

    Valley of the Ghosts
    Rugged Selkirk Mountains hold numerous historical sites, abandoned buildings that mark mining heyday over 100yrs ago when silver built BC's, then, largest city: Sandon. Discovery fostered steam travel on Kootenay, Slocan lakes and built two railway lines, local villages.

    Zuckerberg Island Heritage Park
    Zuckerberg Island Heritage Park looks back almost 200 years. The history of the Interior Salish Natives, and Alexander Zuckerberg - the creator of a unique Russian Orthodox Chapel House - is displayed here. Visitors are able to walk about the landscaped grounds. Admission is by donation.
